When God asks me questions

A day may come when these murmurs will judge me
When the wisdom of men will become foolish
When God Himself will ask me questions
What then would my response be
How do I answer the questions of The King
All knowing, All Powerful, Almighty,
whose knowledge is beyond human comprehension
How can I speak, when Eternity Himself speaks

What if He ask where my father was
When He laid the foundations of the earth
Or ask me who salted the deep blue sea
What if He asks me
To number the sand along the seashore
Or ask me the number of the fishes in the ocean
What if He ask me to call the stars by their name
And tell Him where the rainbow ends

Tell Me if you know?

What if He asks me
Where the wind is coming from, or going to
Where the radiant sun hides till the morning
Or ask If I can speak a planet into existence
What if He asks me to tell Him
The age of the galaxies and origin of the universe
By whose power, do the seasons come forth
Or whose hands shut the door of the sea

What if He asks me
Who fathered the rain, the mist and the dew
What if He says like Job 40:9
“Have you an arm like God?
Or can you thunder with a voice like His?”
What if He asks me
If I know where wisdom lives
Or where understanding lay its head

What if He asks me
If I can drag the alligator by its tail
Or pry its mouth open with my bare hands
Can I command the morning?
Or cause the dawn to know its place
What if He asks me
The way to the dwelling of light
Or the path to the place of darkness

I’d rather that day never come
For I cannot speak when Eternity speaks
I’d rather thank Him in abundance
Even as I praise Him in lack or in need
I’d rather ask and wait in Faith
Believing and knowing that He loves me
For how will I respond
When God asks me questions

(Job 38, 39,40,41) God questions Job

Excerpts from Job

“Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said:
“Who is this who darkens counsel By words without knowledge?
Now prepare yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer Me.
“Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?
Tell Me, if you have understanding.
Who determined its measurements? Surely you know!
Or who stretched the line upon it?
To what were its foundations fastened?
Or who laid its cornerstone,”

‭‭Job‬ ‭38:1-6‬ ‭NKJV‬

What if He asks me how my neural dendrites, each relating distinct impulses through synapses, transmit speech to my brick center, vision to my occipital lobe etc. Do I know ??‍♂️??‍♂️
Rather, I will yet praise Him who is my hope and salvation.

Amazing how much we don’t know! How did man become so arrogant? Powerful write-up!

And we’re so entitled! If only we can channel our ‘do you know who I am’ question in the right direction!

This just further showed me how merciful He is towards our ‘laow laow’

Long time supporter, and thought I’d drop a comment.

Your wordpress site is very sleek – hope you don’t mind me asking what theme you’re using?
(and don’t mind if I steal it? :P)

I just launched my site –also built in wordpress
like yours– but the theme slows (!) the site down quite a bit.

In case you have a minute, you can find it by searching for “royal cbd” on Google (would appreciate any feedback) – it’s still in the works.

Keep up the good work– and hope you all take care of yourself during
    the coronavirus scare!

I'd love to hear from you.
